Jimbaran

It lies on the western side of Bali. Most of the local community lives away from the beach in the narrow gangs that run off the main Uluwatu road. The village is renowned for the Barong Dance and a huge holy banyan tree towers above the eleventh century temple known as Puri Ulun Siwi, dedicated to the spirits that inhabit the rice fields. Across the road is a thriving fruit and vegetable market, but most of all Jimbaran really famous for its fresh fish.

West Lombok
The Kingdom of Buleleng , North Bali conquered East Bali in 1824. The Karangasem royal family moved to Lombok where they set up a court in exile with their cousins. The next 50 years was a reinassance period for West Lombok. The Raja Lombok desired a summer palace in the cool hilland above Cakranegara. Influenced by rich Dtch merchants and their ales of the great palaces of Europe, the Raja set to designing a complex of arbours, imitation lakes, fountain ponds, rotunda and man-made hills topped with temples. The new palace was called taman Narmada. The magnificent Taman Narmada gardens and temple complex in the hills nearby, and the Pura Lingsar on the road to Suranadi beyond Narmada have survived recent drives to modernize all of Bali’s temples was built by a princely priest who was also an architect, Anak Agung Made Karangasem (Agung Lingsir).

Tabot Festival - Bengkulu Cultural Heritage
The word Tabot comes from Arabic, and literally means “wooden Box” or Coffin. The tabot festival is held every year from 19 – 29 January. It is a Shi’I ritual of mourning for Hussin bin Ali bin Abi Thalib, grandson of the Prophet Muhammad through his daughter Fatimah Az-Zahroh . This ritual was a religious duty of the Bengali decendants in Bengkulu. A Tabot festival, featuring a range of events that provide attractions for tourists and recreation for local residents. It consists of a series of sacred processions over a period of 10 days. The Tabot are set down for display in the town square, Lapangan Merdeka where they are adorned with glittering lanterns that enhance their intricate designs.
 
Surabaya
It is warm sprawling city. Primarily a centre of trade, finance and manufacturing. Much of the sightseeing in the city is reminder of the important period from 1945 – 1949, when Indonesia sstruggled for its independence. The leading monument, Tug Pahlawan built in remembrance of heroes who died at that time. Since then Surabaya has been known as the “City of Heroes”because the first battle of revolution was fought here in November 1945. Surabaya proudly bears the name “City of Heroes”. The title honors those fallen during the battle of Surabaya fought while trying to repel the Dutch invation in 1945, shortly after Indonesia’s Proclamation of Independence. Many heroes monument decorate the city in remembrance of this fighting spirit. This is Tugu Pahlawan literally Heroes Monument, Surabaya’s most famous lanadmark. The obelish 45 yerds high and features 11 joint in the 10-sided design. This configuration represents November 10th, 1945 Indonesia’s Heroes Day.
