 Many people say that lontong balap is tradisional food from Surabaya, besides semanggi Suroboyo and rujak cingur. A dish of lontong balap consist of some pieces of lontong, bean sprout, fried garlic, bean cake and "lentho". Lentho is made from rice peanut and flour. Its taste is very specific. Some people find that eating lontong balap will be more delicious if it is accompanied by 'oister satay'.
